A Brief History of Blake's Overhead Door |
| I am the owner of Blake’s Overhead Door of Dover, a business that offers service and installation of residential and commercial garage doors and openers. Operating my own business has been a long-term dream, and I feel that my experience and work ethic will ensure my business success. As the owner, I can personally offer the quality customers deserve. My experience in all aspects of the garage door industry, as well as my relationship with local contractors has prepared me to be an owner. Twenty years ago, I began working in the garage door business, where I learned these three areas are key to customer satisfaction: timeliness, completeness, and value. After several years installing and repairing garage doors, I worked for a lumber company, learning more about the construction business from contractors. I accepted an opportunity to return to garage doors, handling commercial and industrial doors and motors. Ten years ago, I was asked to join the sales team. I always felt that it important to go out of my way to make sure that all of my contacts were satisfied with the work that was done. After many years, I realized that I could provide the same quality service to our community. I believe that Blake’s Overhead Door Company has a lot to offer Kent County – familiarity with the community and the expectation that all customers deserve quality products and services. I feel that my success is due to the Lord and my wife Sherry for providing me with the strength and values to run a business. Business has steadily increased, and I expect to grow as our community realizes the quality of service that we can provide. I am a lifelong resident of Dover, where my wife and I live with our two daughters, Jessica and Bridget. Our son, David, is in Pensacola, Florida with the Marine Corps. |
